This Privacy Policy explains how Media Ape Ventures LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the FaceLift app (the "App") and the FaceLift websites, including faceliftmethod.com and try.faceliftmethod.com (the "Sites"). Together they are the "Services".

1. The short version
- You sign in with your email. Your plan, sessions and progress are stored on our own server so they sync across your devices.
- Progress photos are private. Only you can see them in the App. They are never used for advertising or shared.
- The mirror uses your front camera as a live preview only. Nothing is recorded or uploaded unless you choose to save a progress photo.
- The App has no ads, no ad tracking and no third-party analytics. It does not ask to track you across other companies' apps.
- We do not sell your personal information. You can export your data and delete your account at any time in Settings.
2. Information we collect

Information from your device
- Camera and photos: with your permission, used for the live mirror during sessions and to take or choose progress photos. Mirror video is never recorded or uploaded. Photos are uploaded only when you save one; location and other metadata are removed first.
- Notifications: with your permission, we store a push notification token for your device so we can send your reminders (for example, practice reminders and a reminder before a trial ends).
- Basic technical information: App version, device platform, time zone and last time the App was opened, so the App works correctly and reminders arrive at the right time.
The App does not collect your location, contacts, microphone, Face ID, advertising identifier or browsing history. The voice coach uses your phone's built-in speech; nothing you say is recorded.
Information collected on our Sites
Your browser and device type, IP address, the page that referred you and campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example, UTM tags or an ad click ID). See section 5 for cookies.
Purchases
If you subscribe in the App, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription (product, transaction ID and expiry), not your payment details. If you buy on our Sites, Stripe processes your payment. We receive your name, email, billing details and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the Services: build and run your plan, play your sessions, track your progress, store your photos for you, sync your data and send your reminders.
- To keep you safe: if you tell us about a health caution, we adjust guidance and suggest checking with your doctor.
- To process subscriptions, prevent fraud and give you access to what you paid for.
- To provide customer support and send service messages (for example, sign-in codes and receipts).
- If you take the quiz on our Sites and give us your email, to send you emails about your plan and membership. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email.
- To measure and improve our Sites and ads (see section 5). We never use App data, photos, quiz answers or health cautions for this.
- To keep the Services secure and comply with the law.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (in which case this Policy will continue to apply).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share App data or photos with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Cookies and advertising on our Sites
Our Sites (not the App) use cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential: to remember your quiz progress and checkout session.
- Measurement and advertising: we may use tags from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Pinterest, Snap, Outbrain and Taboola, and our attribution tool, to learn which ads bring people to FaceLift and to show FaceLift ads to people likely to be interested. When you buy, we may send these partners a hashed version of your email or billing details so they can match the purchase to an ad. We may use session-recording tools on checkout pages to find and fix problems. Quiz answers and health cautions are never sent to these partners.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, limit ad personalization in your Facebook and Google ad settings, and use your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor as an opt-out of "sharing" for advertising where the law requires.
6. How long we keep information
- Account data (profile, quiz answers, practice history, progress photos, reminders, devices) is kept while your account is open and deleted when you delete your account.
- Unfinished sign-ups (an email that never completed sign-in) are deleted after 48 hours.
- Purchase and quiz records from our Sites are kept for as long as needed to provide your membership and support, and are deleted when you delete your account or on request (see section 7). Records we must keep for tax and accounting are kept for the period the law requires (generally up to 7 years).
- Website analytics logs are deleted after 120 days.
- When you delete your account we keep one minimal record (a scrambled form of your email and basic subscription flags) to prevent fraud and handle billing questions.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days.
7. Your choices and rights
- Export your data: in the App, go to Settings and choose to download your data.
- Delete a photo: open it in Progress and delete it at any time.
- Delete your account: in the App, go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, progress, photos and website quiz records, and cancels a membership bought on our Sites. It does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that in your iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Cancel a web membership at try.faceliftmethod.com/manage.
- Permissions: you can turn off camera, photo and notification access at any time in your phone's settings.
- Access, correct or port your data, withdraw consent, or opt out of advertising "sharing": email us. You can change most of your information yourself in the App.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California, other US states, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal our decision and to complain to your data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights. We will verify requests by confirming control of your account email.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Progress photos are stored as protected files that can only be opened by you while signed in. Access to our server is restricted, and each user can only read their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.
9. Children
The Services are intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the local rule). If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. International users
We are based in the United States, and our servers are located in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in those countries, with safeguards required by law.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the App, by email, or on this page before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
